The classic Beach House Art Original Knot series. The figure-eight knot or figure-of-eight knot is a type of stopper knot. It is important in sailing as a method of stopping ropes from running out of retaining devices.

The original paintings in the Knot Wall Art series were inspired by the working ports and harbours we have visited around the coast of the UK. Painted in our Beach House Art Studio using only two beautiful colours. The background was painted the colour of sand, to provide a perfect base for the stunning, deep indigo-blue that was used for the knots themselves. The bold contrast between the two colours is superb.
